In Response to Tommy's Post:

That Series Sucked and I am not even mad... worse, I am disappointed.  I will be avoiding all sorts of talk radio, articles, etc because it is going to get ugly.  Trade everyone. Blow it up. Chara sucks. (I think/hope he was playing hurt) Luc is a joke. Krej needs to be moved.

Its clear, we were not good enough but it's m

CapGeek.com has updated the Bruins Cap situation for next season. Not much wiggle room: http://www.capgeek.com/bruins/ And I believe they've been assessed a $3-4 mil penalty for next year because of Iginla's deal.

I'm from Montreal, thus a Habs fan, so I did watch the series attentively. What I take from it is this: Bruins exposed themselves to too many mistakes in their own end. They lacked depth. Miller and Bartkowski (especially him) got caught so many times committing turnovers in their own end... And Chara is getting old. He probably loses a gear once he gets tired after all those minutes he plays in the season and the fact that he has to skate around against faster teams doesn't help him. But I'll give my team a bit of credit (even if I feel very lucky, Bruins beat themselves and got unlucky with posts.) We got to the Bruins head. They wanted to play rough, Habs stuck to their plan. They brought their counter attack game to perfection. Bruins got mad and off their game. You could feel Lucic, Marchand weren't focused on solely winning the series, and that played a huge role

HOCKEY

Why I love Hockey... Because I can hate other players/teams so easily...

For me there is a way I like hockey played with a particular style and get very pissed it its not that way. And its not I just like guys that fight. Patrice Bergeron is my favorite Boston athlete ever. It the diving, stick work, cheap shots, and not standing up for yourself or teammates.

It's why I cannot for t

Hockey is a very physical game but contact is not necessarily essential to every play like it is in football. It provides each player the opportunity to "decide" whether or not they want to be a tough, honest player like Bergy or like the players you've mentioned. And, as you've pointed out, it really is pretty clear who these players are.

Bergeron is climbing up my list of favorite Boston athletes of all time. His unselfishness on the ice and complete lack of ego on or off the ice is incredible. Pedroia has to be up there for me too.

The craziest thing about Bergeron is that he'll probably play 20 season for the Bruins. Assuming this front office remains the same for a while, they'll consistently value him at or above the market. And they've shown a willingness to extend older vets like Chara well into their late 30's.

The D-League and NBA Draft Debate

This article attached by Steve Kerr is a great one... I like the idea of the 2 year rule. (The NBA has no obligation to allow these kids into there league)  I also think that to do this NCAA has to find a way to monetarily compensate these guys. (Does not need to be a lot of money but why not a couple grand per semester - but I think there should be compensation anyway even without this rule)

Definitely read this article: Kerr is a boss:  http://grantland.com/features/steve-kerr-problems-age-limit-nba/
