With the series starting Wednesday night, what are your guys thought on the Sox lineup.  Below are a few quick notes I think that could influence the series.

1.  Will Ross get more games than Salty?  He is better defensively, lacks some of the offense, but surely showed hes got some pop, with his double in the last game.  Personally, I have liked the way Farrell has pl

I think, I wanna see Ross catch for Buchholz too. I think that could help him, since he hasn't been painting. His stuff is a little lack luster right now, and if Ross can get him a few more calls on the black it would really help Clay.

I think the catching rotation stays the same. Xander better keep playing and, judging by Farrell's glowing comments about him, I think he will. I want Nava playing ahead of Gomes because he is a much better hitter, but it seems the team buys into Jonny and his beard or something.

No matter who plays, Wainwright and Wacha scare me to death. Power righties who just pound the strikezone with sinking fastballs have historically terrorized the Red Sox lineup.

They have to be one of the most talented 0-6 teams of all time.  They have talent, as shown from their playoff runs, but they got nothing right now.  Eli is a bum (not elite, and its finally showing).  They have not running game, absolutely zero.  And they do not have the 4 man pass rush they used to have.  All in all, they are doomed

I could easily see this one going to six and beyond.  One of the keys for the Sox last series was getting to the Tiger bullpen.  The Cards bullpen throws straight bullets.  They have like 3-4 guys who throw over 95 mph.  The Cards seem to have a solid rotation, a little top heavy, which I think favors the Sox, with Lackey and Peavy (hoping he shows better stuff this time around).  I did not watch too much of the NLCS so it is hard to know exactly what this Cards team brings.  I think that the 2-3-2 playoff schedule could come into play as well.  Both of these teams have been clutch when it counts this postseason so it should be a battle.
